Architectural Digest Magazine is a monthly magazine that has become the standard of excellence for interior design. The magazine focus is not limited to formal architecture but also includes interior design and decorating. It provides glimpses into cutting edge design with the latest in architecture, interior fashions and trends in design.

The magazine is published by Condé Nast Publications and was founded in 1920, by the Knapp family, who sold it in 1993.

While many cherish its excellent photography and inspiration for ideas, it has set a standard for high style, entertaining and affluence.

Many of Hollywoods biggest stars have had thier homes featured over the years by AD and these articles have influenced design. Titans of industry are also featured so that the reader can see how personalities dictate personal choices in design. Legendary Architect's have been profiled demonstrating how gifted they are.

In 1971, Paige Rense (Paige Rense Noland) became Architectural Digest's editor-in-chief and remained as such until June 2010, when she became editor emeritus. Margaret Russell, previously the editor of Elle Decor took over from Rense as Architectural Digest's editor-in-chief at that time.
